Jennifer was born in Atlanta, GA and has lived in Texas since she was in third grade. She has been a member of the Bay Glen Team since February, 2005. Jennifer has experienced a variety of positions in veterinary medicine. She began her employment working as a Client Relations Specialist, and then transferred to a position at The Feline Medical Center. During the several years there, she learned a great deal not only about cats, but also about the nursing skills of her career. In 2009, Jennifer began working toward a position in the management aspect of the 2 hospitals. She has attended numerous continuing educational venues for the management goals and requirements of her new position. After leaving the area to work in a veterinary hospital in Florida, she has returned to assume the job she has always wanted here at Bay Glen Animal Hospital. Jennifer loves all pets, but has a special fondness for kittens and Golden Retrievers. Of course, that is because she has one of each! Jennifer says she has always loved dogs, but in recent years has developed her extreme fondness for felines as well. Jennifer enjoys meeting the clients, and of course their pets, in the course of performing her daily duties and responsibilities. She says helping pets and their owners is very rewarding. Jennifer enjoys all the variety of responsibilities her new position offers, and has a special interest in marketing. She wants everyone to know what a great hospital she works in and what exceptional doctors and staff share her days at Bay Glen Animal Hospital! Jennifer loves to shop when she is not at work, and spend time with her family and friends. |

April Client Relations Specialist |
April has worked at Bay Glen Animal Hospital since October 2001 as a Client Relations Specialist. April has always known what her calling was from a young age. As a small girl, she was always an animal lover, the one who would rescue and take in injured and sick birds, squirrels and ducks from around her neighborhood. To this day the people of her community still come to her for her advice and help when they come across an injured animal. April has two furry children and a Cherry-head Red-foot Tortoise. “Beau”, the happy go lucky hairy terrier is the oldest child; “Chance”, the black lab mix is a real momma’s boy. The Tortoise “Little Foot” is the newest edition to her family. She enjoys playing outside with her brothers on sunny days. April's kind and caring demeanor is evident to both clients and patients. Nothing is more rewarding to her than sending home a healthy patient. In her time away from the office, April enjoys photography, playing poker and riding her motorcycle with her husband, Billy. |

Veterinary Nurse |
Life-long resident of the Houston area, Phyllis joined the Bay Glen Team in September 2009. It would be an understatement to say that Phyllis loves what she does as a veterinary nurse. At the young age of 15, she was already raising lambs, pigs, chickens and even a steer at Westfield High School FFA in northwest Houston. At that same time, she also started a part time co-op job at a small animal clinic. For 8 years, she continued to hone her skills, learning all areas of the veterinary field, including receptionist, animal care specialist and technician. She left the vet business for 5 years, working for Civil Engineering firm in Houston, only to realize how much she MISSED working with animals. She returned to the business with more passion than ever! Phyllis brings 11 years of EXPERIENCE and unlimited PASSION to Bay Glen Animal Hospital. She enjoys her time equally as a surgical nurse and as an out patient nurse. She enjoys the rewards from an animal’s recovery, after each and every procedure. Client relationship is equally as important to her, with the reward being a smile on the customers face. Phyllis has two daughters, Kristi, age 21 and Felicia, age 15. Phyllis resides in Pearland with her boyfriend (and fishing partner) John, her poodle-terrier rescue dog Peanut, and Buzz, the mischievous cat. When she’s not working or being a mother, you can find her out on the water fishing – her second passion. |
