An integral part of our approach to comprehensive medical care is laboratory diagnostics. Since our patients cannot tell us where it hurts or how they feel when they are sick, a thorough physical exam and comprehensive diagnostic testing is crucial to determining an accurate diagnosis and successful treatment. We are able to perform many diagnostic blood chemistries at our in-hospital laboratory equipment and will frequently send samples to our local reference lab for more comprehensive and specialty testing. We also recommend annual Wellness Profiles and Senior Pet Profiles for all of our patients as a way of detecting changes and abnormalities early, when more treatment and thereapy options are available.
Our state-of-the-art ultrasound and digital X-ray equipment is often used for evaluation of our patients. With this digital imaging equipment, we have the ability to send diagnostic images of your pet to veterinary specialists across the country via the Internet. This allows us to get expert advice quickly and provide the specialized care your pet deserves. We believe strongly in the importance of laboratory diagnostics.
