Dr. Jodi Long grew up on small ranches in rural Oklahoma and Texas. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1996, a master of agriculture in 1997, and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2001. She began working at Bay Glen Animal Hospital in 2003 and is currently the Managing DVM for the Feline Medical Center & Bay Glen Animal Hospital. Dr. Long and her husband, Tom, have two children, Ella and Thomas. They also share their home with several animal kids of the canine, feline, avian & equine variety. Dr. Long currently serves on the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) executive board as Council Chair on Association Affairs. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Harris County Veterinary Medical Association.
