Dr. Robert Trevino grew up in Clear Lake and graduated from Clear Lake High School before attending the University of Texas at Austin. He received his undergraduate degree from UT in biology with a focus on ecology, evolution, and behavior, and completed his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in 2009. Following graduation, Dr. Trevino returned to Houston and spent the following two years as an emergency medicine clinician. After numerous nights of emergency medicine, he welcomed the opportunity to join the doctors and staff at Bay Glen Animal Hospital. He took a brief leave in 2012 to work abroad with the nonprofit WORLDVETS, a volunteer international Aid program for animals. In the spring of 2019, he completed a Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology with a focus in Global Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health in the Medical Center.He loves being outdoors, paddle boarding, all Houston sports, and enjoying craft beer. When he is not outdoors he is avid film buff who enjoys all types of movies and playing all things Nintendo. Dr. Trevino currently resides in Clear Lake and is an active volunteer for Friends for Life Animal Shelter for the last 6 years. He is currently interested in emergency medicine, public health, epidemiology, and zoonotic diseases (animal and human disease transmission).
